  There are many situations people find themselves in which can lead to loneliness and isolation, below are just a          few:

​

• You've become a home worker due to COVID-19 and your only interactions with other people were during your working day within the workplace

• You may have lost a loved one that you would spend all of your time with and now feel lost and alone 

• You feel unconfident or shy to join local groups as you have nobody to accompany you or with similar interests

• You have no friends or family around you to spend time and experiences with

• You are unsure of how to meet new acquaintances

• Your access to travel is limited 

• You live alone with poor mobility

• You've moved to a new area and aren't familiar with local amenities

• Your work/study has taken you away from friends/family

• You're a stay at home parent with time on your hands during school hours

• You may have a family member/members that you are unable to commit as much time as you'd like due to work/family commitments

  Situations like this aren't age related and can affect any of us at any stage of our lives and it's vital we know there      is support out there.
